Male and Female He Created Them

This Sunday will be the conclusion on the four part discussion on Biblical masculinity and femininity. The most recent, gender roles and the family, was really incredible. I walked away feeling so valued and loved and cherished by my Father and Maker. I love that Mark used the quote that talks about woman being made from man's side- not his head that she should rule over him or his feet that he should trample her- but rather from his side, that she would be his partner and his equal. I don't mean this in the sense of crazy liberal feminism, but rather from the perspective that the Lord created woman as man's equal, as his partner, that though we have different roles, we do not have a different value at the foot of the cross nor the throne of Christ! How sweet to know that the Lord's love for women is the same as his love for men, that He created us in His image to ultimately bring glory to himself, not to bicker over and distort the roles of our gender! Also- you should listen because closer to the end sweet Ms. Shirley exclaims, "Merry Christmas" in response to Mark saying that woman is the completion of creation and God's gift to man. Mark looses it and starts laughing along with the congregation. Gooood times at CHBC!
