Western Growers, an association of more than 3,000 fruit and vegetable producers in Arizona and California, has tapped a former staffer in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative to head its government affairs office in Washington. Ken Barbic was deputy assistant for congressional affairs at USTR from 2007 until this year. He was a staffer for the House Ways and Means Committee after cutting his teeth in Washington as a White House intern.
